COD MW4 RPG-8 Ammo Choices Explained by U4GM Arboles

  Video Games - Consoles

In COD MW4, when an aircraft starts circling overhead or an armored vehicle cuts across a lane, your usual rifle setup may not be enough. An RPG-8 class gives your squad another way to respond without giving up the ability to fight on foot. If you're using MW4 Bot Lobbies to practise, try switching between your rifle and launcher as targets appear. The useful habit isn't just landing a rocket; it's knowing when to put the launcher away and move before someone spots you.

Build Around the Launcher

The suggested class pairs the RPG-8 with the Kastov 762, giving you a rifle for the stretches between vehicle encounters. Its hard-hitting shots make it a strong option at medium range, though you'll want to control the recoil rather than hold the trigger through every fight. The Army of Airborne operator provides the look for the class, while the FSS Carbon Edge 1095 gives you a quick melee option when an opponent gets too close. Add a Drill Charge for players hiding behind cover and a Portable Radar to help watch nearby approaches. None of that gear replaces good positioning, but it does give you more choices when a match gets messy.

Set Up for Vehicle Damage

Start with ammunition if the RPG-8 offers a suitable choice in your version of the game. Look for a round that damages the vehicles and aerial threats you're facing, then test how many hits those targets take. Don't assume every rocket will do the same job. Attachment options, tuning systems and target behavior may differ from the setup described here, so check what's actually available before committing to a build. If handling upgrades are offered, faster reloads are worth considering. A quicker follow-up shot can matter more than a small improvement elsewhere, especially when a damaged target is moving out of sight.

Make Each Shot Count

It's tempting to fire as soon as a target appears, but take a second to check your surroundings. Find cover, watch the vehicle's route and leave yourself room to reload. For an aircraft, lead your shot if the launcher requires it, and don't count on a lock unless the weapon supports one. You'll also need to keep an eye on the ground. Switching back to the Kastov after firing is often safer than standing in the open with an empty launcher. Save the Drill Charge for an opponent who has settled behind a wall or another piece of cover.

Adjust as You Play

You won't necessarily have every useful option unlocked straight away, and that's fine. Work with the equipment you've got, pay attention to which targets cause your team trouble and change the class when something isn't pulling its weight. Some players may use cheap MW4 Bot Lobbies to practise their aim and weapon switching, but live matches will still test timing and positioning in different ways. Keep the launcher ready for the right moment, not every moment, and you'll be able to support your squad without losing sight of the fight in front of you.
